GoldKey has been designed to seamlessly integrate with the advanced security features
already built into the Windows® 7 operating system. Organizations can quickly improve
protection for computers, encrypt disks, safeguard email, simplify logins, secure files, and
more – all without installing any additional software or drivers.
BitLocker: Full-Disk Encryption
Overall computer security can be increased by enabling Windows BitLocker® and adding GoldKey technology, allowing
you to protect sensitive data with full-disk encryption. This protects sensitive data with full-disk encryption and prevents
unauthorized access to your computer, your files, and your emails.
Lock Down Laptops
Multi-factor authentication is critical for mobile
computers like laptops with a high risk of being lost or
stolen. If an unfriendly user gains access to the laptop,
the user still cannot login without the physical GoldKey
and personal PIN. This is real security for computers
running Windows 7. Utilize Active Directory or install
GoldKey software for standalone login, as well as
many other features.
GoldKey integrates with
Windows 7 security features to
add multi-factor authentication
and easy administration without
additional software or drivers.
Next Steps
Make Logins More Secure
Windows 7 users can use GoldKey to implement a multi-factor method of authentication for login that is much
more secure than the traditional user name and password method. In addition to a password, a user must also
insert the physical GoldKey device to login.
Faster, Easier Access for Administrators
With GoldKey, administrators requiring access to a large number of computers only need to remember a
single PIN, instead of several individual user names and passwords. Not only does GoldKey provide a more
secure method of authentication, but this also eliminates the risk of passwords being shared or viewed by
unauthorized staff.
Better Email Protection
Email programs such as Outlook® provide a simple interface for digitally signing and encrypting email, but when
you add GoldKey to the mix, security is increased dramatically. The GoldKey token stores the private key and
requires multi-factor authentication during digital signature and encryption.
