The GoldKey USB Smart Card provides a rugged and convenient form-factor for delivering strong multi-factor authentication. The GoldKey USB Smart Card contains a certificate store, which may be used to easily integrate with PKI security applications that support certificate-based authentication.

The GoldKey USB Smart Card supports the Personal Identity Verification (PIV) standard from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), which is widely deployed in government.

Since Windows 7 and Mac OS X v10.6 incorporate support for PIV, GoldKey’s USB Smart Card enables many applications without the need for special drivers, such authenticating with BitLocker encrypted volumes. The GoldKey USB Smart Card also eliminates the need for an external USB card reader since the smart card is integrated into the USB token.

GoldKey is one of the most rugged and compact USB smart cards on the market. The GoldKey USB Smart Card is easy to carry in a pocket or key-wallet, just like a car key. The GoldKey USB Smart Card is enclosed in stainless steel, filled with industrial-grade epoxy for water and tamper resistance, and does not require an internal battery, making it ready withstand years of use in the field.
